Service Description

Only available for puppies under 10 months of age. This course is designed as a follow on from our Puppy Paws and Getting Started Teens courses, to keep your adolescent puppy on track! Advanced pups offers a whole range of essential manners training for the adolescent puppy, as well as exercises that will help you prevent and/or conquer some common problems for this age group. Class groups are small (maximum of six per group) and every class is conducted outdoors, come rain or shine! All puppies must be fully vaccinated and between 5-10 months of age. All participants will receive an official Ulti-mutt paws certificate and rosette upon completion of the course. Topics and exercises that will be covered include: • How to retain that focus and willingness to work • Socialisation and how to keep a teenager out of trouble! • Coping strategies for tricky adolescent behaviour • Bond-building through trick training and games • Working in a real-world environment • Extended good manners and obedience training • Scent work, mental stimulation and calming down • And much more!! All exercises start off easy and progress over the weeks. This course is suitable for first time puppy owners as well as those who have had dogs all of their lives! This course is a follow on from our Puppy Paws/Getting Started, so to enroll we will need you to have completed one of these courses with your puppy. Alternatively, you will need to book a Private Tuition session to determine the level you and your puppy are at, prior to joining this course (only if you have not attended the one of the other courses). Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email and a welcome e-mail; please ensure you read these emails thoroughly before attending your first class as they details everything you need to know and bring with you.
